To be honest, I’m a huge homebody. My apartment is so cozy and many of the things I like to spend my time doing–working on my shop, hanging out with my cat, binge watching HGTV–are all activities that require me to be at home. As much as I love it though, I do sometimes get the urge to take in some fresh air and see some new sights. So, Matt and I decided to take a trip to the downtown area yesterday (Raleigh, NC) and did some browsing at a few of my favorite shops.

First we stopped into Deco, an awesome little modern eclectic gift shop. I especially love their collection of greeting cards and puzzles. Then we went into Father & Son, which is a vintage shop specializing in midcentury retro clothing, housewares, and basically anything quirky. And finally, Matt wanted to stop into a  new & used music store called Schoolkids Records. He just got his turntable up and running, which is cool because I’ve had a Nutcracker record I’ve been wanting to listen to. Good timing!

What did you do this weekend?
