I had a very satisfying weekend, even though it didn’t go exactly as planned. It’s been overcast and gloomy here for the past week and today was no different, so I decided to postpone the zoo trip we had planned. Instead, I did some thrifting, decorating, cleaning, and took a walk around the lake. The leaves have begun to turn but I expect that they won’t peak for another couple of weeks. Still, a beautiful way to spend some contemplative time with myself.

Yesterday was also a wonderful day; I got up early and checked out the local yard sales to search for some new vintage goodies. I had more luck than I could have imagined, and I came away with literally dozens of midcentury treasures for under 30 dollars. In the past I’ve relied exclusively on thrift shops for stocking my Etsy shop but now I know better! I can’t wait to share some photos of my favorites soon; stay tuned.

What about you? Any weekend highlights?
