favorite things: vintage illustration

When I was a child, my parents read to me every night before bed. I had scores of books then, just as I do now. Since I began thrifting regularly, I have developed a collection of vintage books; I love finding ones that have wonderful details, and my favorites tend to be illustrated children’s books. The whimsical imagery is so captivating to me, even as an adult.

Do you collect anything in particular?

I’m considering framing some illustrations I’ve found, they’re so whimsical and artistic. I found this adorable old French vocabulary book recently with adorable drawings to help teach the reader the language. If you want to check it out, I posted about it here http://thetodolists.wordpress.com/.

    Thanks for the post!
